Victron PWM (Pulse Width Modulator) solar charge controllers function as the switch between the solar array and battery. When the voltage provided by the solar array falls outside the ideal conditions for charging the battery, the PWM solar charger will shut off that flow, preventing the battery from overcharging and damaging the battery.

    Going off-grid with Victron Energy

Homeowner and solar installer Eric Enquist lives with his family in Boulder, MT. Last summer, he disconnected his house from the grid to install an off-grid system powered by solar, Pylontech batteries, and Victron Energy components. We sat down to ask him about his experience and to share advice with homeowners designing their own system.
